Zarneth - swamp monster

Zarneth is a monster I made up. I was inspired by octopuses, water lizards and other monsters to create it. I modeled a high poly version of the monster in Zbrush and then retopologized it. I created the UV maps in Maya, I made the textures in Substance painter and the actual placement and rendering was done in Blender. Render props are used from https://albinmerle.artstation.com/projects/zDAQWZ. I hope you will like the scary monster. Below I have made up a short legend about the monster so that you can get to know it better.

Zarneth / Legend
Zarneth is an ancient monster of the dark swamps and deep lakes, also known as the "Pearl Shadow".

A single white pearl shines from her forehead - beautiful, hypnotic... deadly. The light from it resembles the reflection of the moon on a calm surface, but those who see it have never escaped.

It is said that Zarneth was once a water goddess, betrayed by humans and imprisoned in the swamps. The pearl is a remnant of her divine power and beauty - but now serves as bait. When a victim approaches, the monster pulls her with its tentacles below the surface, where it slowly suffocates and devours her.

Some stories claim that Zarneth hunts not because of hunger, but because of resentment. She feeds not only on the flesh, but also on the memories of her victims.
